Support services

We provide therapeutic and practical support to support people with anxiety. We specialise in hoarding, OCD and agoraphobia. We also provide introductory and advanced hoarding training.

We work with

  1. People who have an NDIS plan or alternate sources of funding ie. Family services, DFFH, Support for High Risk Tenancies, Child protection, aged care packages, Funds in Court, Office of the Public Advocate guardians and people who are self-funded.

  2. Family members, friends, neighbours who are concerned about a loved one.

We visit people for 1-2 hours, no more! Why? Because we are therapists, just like a psychologist. No one sees them for 3 hours - we provide the psychological support and art therapy to understand thoughts and behaviours. And then we assist with the practical.

We provide therapy services under the NDIS.

  • Assessment Recommendation Therapy And/or Training - Other Therapy, from Core - Assistance with daily life $193.99

As therapists Tania or Carolyn will come to your home and work with you to understand your hoarding, OCD or agoraphobia and we then create strategies to increase your ability to manage your mental health and homes.

Confidential advice service about loved ones.

Worried about a loved one with hoarding disorder?

So often family and friends have tried to help, but this rarely results in reducing the amount and can create frustration and arguments. It seems easy to fix, just remove the excessive amount of items, but the stuff isn’t the problem, it’s a symptom of an illness. That’s why your attempts to help don’t work. Contact Tania to make an appointment to discuss, fees may apply.

Assessments - Under the NDIS line item Assessment Recommendation Therapy And/or Training (Incl. AT) - OtherTherapy, we will attend the home or residential facility and meet the participant and write up an assessment and recommendation letter that can be submitted to NDIA for a new plan, plan review or change of circumstance. Often professionals feel uncertain about how to respond to people with hoarding disorder. Some want to organise industrial cleans, others just want to avoid doing anything for fear of upsetting the person. Our priority is the safety of all who live in the home.
