On 3AW with Dr Sally Cockburn

I was thrilled (and a bit nervous) to be invited to speak live on 3AW (11th January 2020, starting at 7:58 secs) with the wonderful Dr Sally Cockburn. We took some talk back calls, including a man who had removed about 50 bags of his wives’ belongings whilst she was in hospital and 2 women who had pressure from their daughters to reduce the amount of clothes in their cupboards.

I spoke with Emma Noble about the cost of hoarding, how I work and genetic links. She also spoke with ‘Julie’, a participant I was working with at the time.

Whilst in Sydney for the 2014 Hoarding and Squalor Conference, I spoke on the Life Matters program (on Radio National) about children, hoarding and hope. And, the launch of my first book “An Ordinary House”, the first book in English exploring the impact of hoarding on children.

Here’s our presentation from the 2016 Hoarding and Squalor Conference. Sandra (on the left) wrote the first Australian play about how family members are often pressured to ‘fix’ the cluttered home. I consulted on the script and the number of boxes on set! https://events.catalystevents.com.au/ehome/hsruconf2016/Videos/
